Organic Fermented Grape Skin Powder
The organically famed red grapes are processed on site in the heart of Canada’s Niagara wine region. The juices are collected for wine but the antioxidant and polyphenol rich skins of the red grapes are extracted and dried. The result is a deep red powder with full bodied aroma of red wine for use as an antioxidant packed supplement for use in drinks, yoghurts, cereals, baked goods and various other applications Organic Raw Baobab Powder The fruit of the Baobab tree grown in Zimbabwe is gaining international acclaim for its wholesome nutrition. Unlike other powder the Baobab is unique because there is virtually no processing involved. The pulp falls from the seeds as a powder. The only process is mechanical separation of the pulp from the seed which means there is no loss of nutrients. The taste is slightly tart and refreshing. The powder is a good flavour enhancer and its high pectin levels (approx. 25%) means it is an ideal thickening agent. The powder can be used in smoothies, juices, ice-cream, yoghurts, sauces, nutritional bars, baked goods and cereals.
If you are looking for a product to help replace or reduce pectin in your application. Citri-Fi could be the answer.
Citri-Fi is made from orange pulp and contains native pectin, which contributes to Citri-Fi soluble fiber content. Under certain conditions, similar to the ones present in fruit preparation (higher brix and lower pH), the native pectin gets activated to create gelling system. This allows Citri-Fi to be considered for partial or complete pectin replacement. Please give us a call if you are interested in finding out more about this process and how it might work for you.
